Wed, March 28, 2007 - 12:21 PMyes I have a boston who is close to 40 pounds but healthy and look portioned right. we also have another boston that is 25 pounds. i heard some one told me there is actually 3 sizes of bostons. however non of the boston books say that. they just say they were bred down in size they use to be big dogs. -

Re: any heavy bostons out there?
Thu, June 21, 2007 - 5:22 PMactually, many of "the books" do discuss the three classifications of boston terrier weights, which are:
lightweight (under 15 lbs)
middleweight (15-20 lbs)
heavyweight (20-25 lbs)
dogs falling into these weight ranges meet the "breed standard," at least for size.
